Letter sans signature invalid, says Khosa

 The political rivals of Pakistan People?s Party (PPP) were igniting the issue of memo that has been sent to the then US Admiral Mike Mullen through an American businessman of Pakistani origin, to just dent the party image and get their desired results in the upcoming elections.
Mansoor Ijaz, the businessman who handed over the memo to Mike Mullen, was a controversial character who had changed his stance many times. Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khan Khosa said this while talking to media persons at a local hotel after attending the annual Hussainee Conference here on Tuesday.
While talking, the Governor said that any letter or application without carrying the signatures of competent authority was not valid as per the law of the country. Despite of the fact, political rivals creating mess on the memo issue, he said.
He said that PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sherif was politicising on a baseless issue. Khosa said that the Mian brothers should solve first the party leadership dispute emerging among them then see on the other matters.
Earlier, Latif Khan Khosa, while addressing the annual Hussainee conference, said that the nation was facing very hard time and at this stage there was need of unity and strong relation between all the religious parties.
?The life of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) is the best example for us and could learn many things from his lessons. Everyone recognizes the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain but only few people are following his teachings,? he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ghazanfer Mehdi said that there was need to conduct more conferences like this and to invite more parties from all over the country. He said that to bring peace in our country there was need to work hard and all the parties have played their roles.
On the occasion, Maulana Izhar Bukhari, Major Syed Saqib Hussain Shah, Tahir Rasheed Tanaoli, Syed Nadir Bukhari and Allama Hussain Ahmed also addressed the gathering and urge all the religious parties to forge unity in their ranks to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
