A special prayer service (Thanksgiving Mass) was held at St. Anthony?s High School, Lawrence Road, Lahore on November 19, 2011 to celebrate 125th Anniversary of the Archdiocese of Lahore.
Bishop Sebastian Shaw, Apostolic Administrator, Archdiocese of Lahore along with Rev. Fr. Andrew Nisari Vicar General and the clergy offered the Holy Mass.
More than three thousand faithful attended the mass in order to thank God Almighty for the successful completion of 125 years of the Archdiocese of Lahore and countless blessings of the Lord during all these years.
The history of the Archdioceses of Lahore is replete with the selfless services of Catholic Bishops, Fathers. Nuns and the clergy for the humanity irrespective of race, color or creed particularly in the field of education, health and social uplift in Pakistan.
Bishop Sebastian Shaw in his homily paid glowing tributes to all the past and the present servants of God attached with the Archdiocese, for their untiring efforts and selfless services for humanity. He reiterated his commitment that the diocese would continue its services with the same missionary zeal in all the times to come.
A large number of people including people from civil society, dignitaries and Muslim Ulema attended the program.
