Dacoits on Tuesday continued their looting spree, robbed two houses, looted motorists, families, and passers-by at gunpoint and fled away after collecting cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs 2 million during 15 times successful strikes in different parts of the City, police sources said.
Five dacoits equipped with automatic weapons barged into a residence (House No 13, Ali Street) of Faisal in Mustafa Town police area when all the family members were sleeping. The bandits held up the children and female members at gunpoint and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs 210,000 at gunpoint.
Three gunmen forced their entry into a house (No 15, Street No 7) of one Shahbaz in Kahna police area and snatched away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs 500,000 after holding the inmates hostage at gunpoint.
A car-rider, Nauman, along with his wife was on his way home after attending a wedding party when two motorcyclists intercepted him in Nawan Kot police precincts. The robbers held up the couple at gunpoint and escaped after collecting cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 70,000.
Two motorcyclists held up Mrs Javed in Y-Block, the precincts of Defense-A police area, and snatched away cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 115,000 at gunpoint.
Two motorcyclists held up one Majid near fruit and vegetable market in Ravi Road police limits and deprived him of Rs 16,000 at gunpoint.
Two gunmen riding on a motorcycle intercepted Imran in Shadbagh police jurisdiction and snatched away Rs 70,000 from him. In another incident, two gunmen held up Kashif at gunpoint in Sabzazar police area and deprived him of Rs 45,000.
Two robbers deprived one Irshad of Rs 45,000 at gunpoint in Yakki Gate police precincts while two gunmen snatched away a motorcycle (LEX-3550) from Imran in Shahdara police area. Rehan was coming back after withdrawing Rs 150,000 from a bank when two motorcyclists intercepted him in Faisal Town police area. The robbers deprived him of the cash at gunpoint. Another car-rider, Liaqat Ali, along with his family was coming back after attending a wedding party, when two gunmen intercepted him in Chuhng police area. The bandits took out gun and snatched away cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 200,000 from the victims at gunpoint. Zafar told Hanjarwal police that he was coming back after withdrawing Rs 250,000 from a bank when two gunmen held him up and snatched away the cash.
Two motorcyclists stopped Khurrum in Millat Park police area and snatched away cash and valuables worth Rs 95,000 from him. Another two gunmen held up Adnan at gunpoint in Nawab Town police area and snatched away Rs 35,000 from him.
Two motorcyclists held up Riasat Ali in Gulshan-e-Ravi police area and snatched away cash and mobile phone worth Rs 55,000 from him.
